Cozy Cashmere Clothing

It’s that pumpkin latte time of year, which means that cooler weather is either here or on its way! We all have our favorite items that make up our fall and winter capsule wardrobe but in my opinion, the most luxurious and coziest piece of clothing is any piece that is made out of cashmere. Good-quality cashmere clothes can be pricey, but for many people, it is always a wardrobe staple year after year. For me, I always have a difficult time with warmer fabrics because I’m allergic to wool. Believe it or not, I literally hunt for cute layering pieces that are either cotton or acrylic blends. I’m always envious of those who can wear cashmere because not only is it versatile adding warmth and style to fall and winter outfits, but it can be dressed up or down because of its luxurious feel, providing so many styling options!

Cashmere Pullover Sweaters

Comfy clothing has been essential in all of our wardrobes over the past few months and as we’re winterizing our wardrobes, the sweater is the one piece that will transform your closet from summer to fall and fall to winter. Cashmere sweaters are very desirable because they’re a luxurious upgrade from hoodies and sweatshirts that we’ve all become accustomed to this fall. There are so many styling options with sweaters as they can easily be worn over a dress for a cozy dressed up look. Cashmere sweaters can even be worn over your pajama bottoms or sweatpants for that business zoom call while working from home.

Cashmere Cardigan Sweaters

Many people love a great cardigan and this time of year especially, it’s a great layering piece and a perfect substitute for a lightweight jacket. As a top layer, it finishes up an outfit, adding that perfect bit of luxe to complete any look. I happen to really love the longer length open style cardigans that we’ve been seeing the last few years. I find them very flattering to any body type and they’re a win-win and so easy to take off when you get overheated indoors.

Cashmere Loungewear

Talk about the perfect stay at home outfit for cold weather! The cashmere loungewear set fits this bill. It is the cozy, comfy, look-good, feel-good outfit of the season. Mix and match joggers, hoodies, and zip-up jackets for this luxe loungewear look have been more popular than ever this season with so many people staying closer to home.

Cashmere Slippers

One thing for sure is true. I’ve never been more in love with my slippers than I’ve been these last 7 months. The minute I step in mine, I feel like my feet have gotten a great big hug.  Below you’ll find some styles that I think are quite cute. They are all made out of cashmere and will make you feel cozy at any time of day!

Cashmere Scarves, Wraps, and Capes

Even though I’m not able to wear wool or any blend with wool in it directly on my skin, I am able to wear an outer layer over my clothing and love having this option when the weather turns cold. This is where a cashmere cape, wrap, or scarf comes in handy. Any one of these items adds that extra little layer of warmth and it’s so easy to just throw it on before heading out of the house. It’s a tried and true accessory this time of year and a great way to add a pop of color to any winter outfit.

Affordable Cashmere

There’s a wide range of pricing when it comes to cashmere. The items above are geared more toward stylish cashmere options with a high-low price range. One brand that I was completely unfamiliar with prior was NAADAM. The NAADAM brand of cashmere came up on my search over and over again and is both affordable and high quality. I decided to do a comparison of three brands 100% crewneck sweaters. The NAADAM basic crew neck sweater is reasonably priced at $75. J. Crew has a wide color and size range with 22 different colors available going up to a size 3X for their basic crew neck sweater. You can also get any J. Crew sweater personalized with a monogram for an additional $10 which also makes this a great gift item.

Uniqlo is a brand that makes great quality “closet basics” and this time of year they do have their 100% cashmere items. Their crew neck sweater Is reasonably priced under $100 as well. I’m a huge fan of this brand for their  basic clothing pieces.

With the holiday season right around the corner, consider adding a piece of cashmere to your wish list this year! When properly cared for, cashmere can last you a very long time. Also, if you have a friend or family member who is hard to buy for, this could also make an excellent gift. Whether you’re giving or receiving cashmere this fall - stay cozy my friends!
