Top Picks for Your Spring Capsule Wardrobe

Here we are friends, tip-toeing into spring with thoughts of resuming somewhat of normal life after the throes of Covid, lockdowns, and hardship. As restrictions begin to slowly lift and case numbers inchingly dwindle, I can’t help but be hopeful about the days ahead. I’ve even found myself daydreaming about a small night out with friends while wearing an array of new wardrobe additions—my post-Covid gift to myself! 

It’s really fun to think about the pieces we might add to our spring wardrobes as we prepare to sidestep the zoom calls for face-to-face reunions. I do have a confession though… I don’t know if I’m ready to trade in my comfy slippers for sore feet once real shoes are required again. Ouch! 

Shoe dilemmas aside, I think it’s important that we are intentional about celebrating these small steps toward our pre-lockdown lives and gear up for some long overdue brick and mortar shopping to support the stores and eateries we love (and have missed!). So, in honor of that unifying truth held by so many of us—that normal life might be making a comeback—may these spring wardrobe top picks from a few of my favorite stores inspire you.

And who can forget Saks? It’s just that good (albeit high-end fashion and thus pricey). Whenever I want to have a little splurgy fun with fashion and design I turn to Saks, the friend that never disappoints. It’s my happy place... And so is everything on this list. Right?

Spring is here, gals—and the excitement of normalcy is in the air. I know these have been extremely hard times for us all and that there will be lasting impacts of this past year for the foreseeable future. I’m not naive to that in the slightest. However, I am always a glass-half-full kind of person. So this is me, filling that glass even higher—dreaming out loud of a (hopefully soon) shopping excursion for us all.
