Summer Fashion Staples
It used to be that by this time of year I would be dreaming of summertime cookouts and cocktails. These days I find myself dreaming of dressing myself once again in something other than leggings! Even though we’re still “at home” I have been preparing myself (for one day soon) to walk out of my house dressed to impress, for an entire day or night out on the town. Summer wardrobe staples are on my mind and I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of my favorites with you!

White Jeans
White jeans are without a doubt my favorite summer staple! Even with changing trends, year after year, white jeans always remain a classic. When I did my spring cleaning and reorganized my closet a couple of weeks ago, I realized I needed to freshen up my white jean collection. Here are a few styles that I find fashionable and flattering. The Everlane ones are on the top of my list!
Maxi Dresses
During the summer time I’m also a big fan of casual midi / maxi dresses. I feel like they’re the perfect item in my wardrobe because I can dress them up or down. This year with social distancing backyard get-togethers, or dinners al fresco at home - any of these maxis would be perfect!
Basic Tees
You can never have too many tees in your summer wardrobe. They are so easy to mix and match with shorts, skirts and of course your white jeans! Here are a few choices, all a little bit different and one a little dressier but all would be great addition with your summer separates.
Shirts
All of these shirts would go so well with white and blue denim jeans. They would also work great with shorts for a fresh summer look. I can see some of these tops being perfect to wear to the office, a picnic in the park or to a nice dinner on a patio somewhere.
Sneakers
What could be better than a fashionable pair of white sneakers in the summertime? All of these are very popular and range in price from high to low. What I love about a cute pair of sneakers is that they can be worn with casual and dressy outfits - it’s one of my favorite fashion moves. Fashion forward + comfort = one happy lady!
Whatever the summer occasion you’re looking to dress for, I hope it happens for you soon! Right now retailers are offering some excellent sales for Memorial Day. If you’re in the position to do so, you should try and take advantage of them while you can!
